Looks like residents in southwest Oklahoma won't have to wait too long to pick their own tulips! Sweet Pickins Pumpkin Patch is gearing up to host its U-pick tulip farm for the second year in a row, and they just announced that the tulips will be ready the first weekend in March.

Sweet Pickins is located near Altus and first opened in 2021 as a pumpkin patch. Last year, Sweet Pickins opened its farm in the spring as a U-pick tulip farm, and saw great success! This year, Sweet Pickins is back with tulips and will offer over 100,000 tulips for people to pick from.

Sweet Pickins will open for the spring on Saturday, March 7.

On Friday, February 27, Sweet Pickins announced on its official Facebook page that the tulips are ready and the farm will open for the spring on Saturday, March 7. At Sweet Pickins, visitors can wander the colorful field and pick their own tulips to fashion their own bouquet.

Sweet Pickins will also have photo opportunities for visitors, plus family games and a goat petting zoo.

Tulip season won't last very long in Oklahoma.

For those wanting to visit Sweet Pickins or any other U-pick tulip farm in Oklahoma, they'll want to do it quickly! According to Sweet Pickins, tulip season doesn't last very long, blooms are here and then they're gone till next spring.

As of Friday, February 27, Sweet Pickins will open for the season on Saturday, March 7 and plans to be open again on Sunday, March 8. For more information about picking tulips at Sweet Pickins, follow their official Facebook page.
