Tyler Childers to Play Ryman Auditorium in February 2020
Tyler Childers will play four concerts at Nashville's historic Ryman Auditorium early next year. Dubbed the Country Squire Residency, the shows are set for February 2020.
Childers' Ryman shows will take place on Feb. 6 (support act TBA), Feb. 7 (support act TBA), Feb. 15 (with support from Larry Cordle) and Feb. 16 (with special guest Daughter of Swords). The four dates support Childers' new album, Country Squire, and will be Childers' first time headlining the Mother Church of Country Music.
Following its release on Aug. 2, Country Squire debuted No. 1 on Billboard's Country Albums chart — Childers' first No. 1 album. The nine-song project was produced by Sturgill Simpson and Dave Ferguson, and was recorded and produced in Nashville.
This fall, Childers will be headlining his Country Squire Run Tour, for which he will travel across the United States. Early next year, he'll be performing overseas for all of January before he takes up residency at the Ryman in February.
Country Squire follows the singer's breakout album, 2017's Purgatory, also produced by Simpson and Ferguson. The Kentucky native is the reigning Americana Music Association Emerging Artist of the Year.
