Voting is Open for Lawton’s Future Chef Finalist Julissa Rocha [VIDEO]

Lawton 5th grader, Julissa Rocha from Pioneer Park Elementary school is on of 5 finalists nationwide in the Sodexo Future Chef competition.

Julissa visited the morning show this morning to talk about her love of cooking and of course to ask our listeners to VOTE! Voting for the competition opened today, allowing voters to vote once per day through Sunday April 29th. The recipe with the most votes will be the 2018 Future Chef and win tons of prizes.

Julissa has already won some prizes just by making it to the finals.  Here is the Lawton Public Schools announcement of Julissa making it to the finals.

Julissa is not the first student from Lawton's Pioneer Park Elementary to make the national finalist in the competition; Matthew Aguilar did it as well in 2014!
