Waterloo Revival Show Off Pop-Country Superpowers in Colorful ‘Wonder Woman’ Lyric Video [Exclusive Premiere]
Waterloo Revival's new song, "Wonder Woman," has an insistent hook that makes the listener want to sing along from the very first, and they've combined it with a winning lyric video for this Taste of Country premiere.
The duo of Cody Cooper and George Birge recently released a new EP, and "Wonder Woman" is the title song and lead single from the new project. The track is an ultra-catchy, finger-snapping pop-country confection that features a clever play on words.
"It's a wonder, woman / Somebody set you free / It's like I walked right into a dream / Can't help but wonder, woman / If this is one of those nights / Where something wrong leads to something right / So let's get on out to that dance floor / Is this happenstance or something more / Can't help but look into those eyes of yours / Oh, and wonder, woman," they sing in the chorus.
In the lyric video above, the duo reinforce the song's fun, breezy feel with a colorful clip in which they perform the danceable track in front of a series of flamboyantly colored buildings. Click on the video above, and see if you aren't smiling ear-to-ear at the feel-good song before they get to the first chorus.
Waterloo Revival originally hail from Austin, and they self-released two EPs, Little Lightning and Front Row, before signing with Big Machine Label Group, where they released two singles, "Hit the Road" and "Bad for You." They moved over to Toby Keith's Show Dog-Universal Music label in 2016, releasing a song titled "What Guy Wouldn't." Their new Wonder Woman EP is currently available across various digital music platforms.
