Week #5 Virtual Car Show Winner – Andy & Sharon Andersen

Andy & Sharon won our fifth and final week of our virtual car show.  Here is what they had to say about their 1929 Ford Model A;

She came out of a pasture, weeds, the whole bit back in the mid 80's. Restored her and drove for several years, got the wanna's for a "new" car, so started all over and redid her. My husband did everything, he loved restoring vehicles. We've had the '29 all over the United States to various car shows and gatherings, loved every minute and have nothing but great memories. We still, of course, have the car.

We purchased the '29 in December 1992, and have owned her since. In April 2001, we were wanting some big changes and so Andy started her 2d total restoration, finally on 27 March 2002, she was finished and back on the road again. We never had the desire to change a thing regarding appearance or engine, so she is as finished that 2d time. And still as pretty as ever. Been a lot of places over the United States to car shows and just having fun, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Texas, Kansas, Missouri, Tennessee, Pennsylvania, Maine, Conn., Colorado, New Mexico, Montana, Utah, Wyoming....our very favorite shows were Pueblo, CO and Knoxville, TN....Over the years the car won over a hundred awards in both car shows and parades and our house and shop are full of the great memories. Our grandkids grew up watching their Grandfather taking this car apart piece by piece in his shop and then putting it all back together, going to parades and car shows. It wasn't work for Andy, it was a labor of love and pride in what he completed. We have, over the years, enjoyed our '29 more than anything we did.

This was the first ever "Virtual Car Show" she was entered in, and our family, our friends and friends unknown helped to make this winning of the 5th week of the show. We appreciate everyone and their votes, and wish to thank all that voted for the '29 to make it possible.
