When it Comes to Grilling, Oklahoma Likes Their Steaks Well Done!

There is so much wrong with that statement.  How can you ruin a perfectly good steak?  Cook it way too long.  According to a new survey, Oklahoma is one of 4 states that prefer their steaks cooked well done.  I, for one disagree.  Make mine Medium Rare.

Grilling season is upon us, and with Memorial Day Monday, and the unofficial start to summer, there are a some quirks about grilling that you may not know.  For instance, even though we think of burgers and dogs on holiday weekends; Steak is the preferred meat to be grilled, followed by Burgers, then Chicken, Ribs, Brats, then finally Hotdogs.  They even included Pineapple on the list!  Wait a minute...that's not a bad idea. (Making mental note of that now!)

For those self professed grill masters, you already know that cooking on the grill gives you not only the most delicious meal, but a way to cook not only for yourself and your family, but for others that may be visiting.  It's a quick and easy clean up too.  It's not wonder that it a top choice for cooking in the summer.

Oh, and just in case you are wondering, if there is a contest between Hamburgers and Hotdogs...
