Valentine's Day is on a Friday this year, and there's nothing better than ending the week with a winter sunset in Oklahoma's countryside with a romantic dinner. All of this is possible at White Dog Hill in Clinton, Oklahoma.

White Dog Hill and the Beany Bar are located off Route 66 just outside of Clinton. White Dog Hill were constructed in 1925 as the Clinton Country Club in Golf Course. The restaurant, White Dog Hill, is the resurrected clubhouse and the Beany Bar is the old caretaker's house.

The property closed in 1950 and was desolate until it was rescued in 2001. In August 2007, it was restored and now people can enjoy the property's handmade rugged beauty, panoramic prairie views, Oklahoma's famous sunsets, and according to the White Dog Hill website, an occasional haunting.

White Dog Hill is one of Oklahoma's best restaurants.

Coupled with the historic building and breathtaking views, White Dog Hill also offers some of the best eats in Oklahoma. According to MoneyInc.com, White Dog Hill is the number one restaurant in Oklahoma for its atmosphere, food and drink selections. The steakhouse "combines a welcoming, family-friendly atmosphere with amazing views, friendly service, and the kind of food you’d happily travel miles to try."
