Dolly Parton hit the top of the Billboard country charts on this day in 1971 with the title track of the album Joshua.

It was a song of a young girl who dared to visit a reclusive man that others though to be mean.  The two bonded and fell in love.

The song also garnered Dolly's first Grammy nomination for a female artist. She ended up losing that nomination to Lynn Anderson.  Here's you KLAW Classic for today, and Dolly's first Number One song!
