The most difficult scene for the woman who plays Yellowstone's Beth Dutton wasn't from Season 4 or Season 3. No, Kelly Reilly reveals that it was a Season 2 scene that was the most challenging for her.

It wasn't emotional turmoil, however. Early on this interview, she reiterates that what viewers see is not real and that she's not really being beaten, bloodied and bombed (and burned, if you're looking for a fourth "B" word). The actor may need to hear that herself. There are some stark differences between Dutton — arguably the toughest woman on television, ever — and Reilly.

Taste of Country writer Sterling Whitaker subs in for Billy Dukes during this week's bonus episode of Dutton Rules: A Yellowstone, 1883 Podcast. Adison Haager hosts and starts by interviewing the ToC writer about his interview. At the end, find more insights into other cast members plus a few suggestions of Taylor Sheridan directed films to find and forget about.

As always, you can join the conversation with an email to staff@tasteofcountry.com. A full new episode of Dutton Rules is coming next week, after Ep. 5 of Season 4. Find a recap of Ep. 4 below.
