Bologna: Friend or Foe?

What is the worlds simplest sandwhich? Maybe you are thinking of a PB and J? Tacky and overdone.  PB and Honey? Ehhh kinda rich for my tastes. Ham and Cheese? Simple yet boring. What's the greatest sandwhich with the greatest ease of prepartion? Why a Bologna sandwhich of course! It's the perfect meat; the denim of the food world if you will. It goes with ANYTHING! Ketchup, mustard, mayo, ranch, sweet pickle relish, BBQ sauce and so on and so on. Bread optional. Oh and thats just the cold cut style. Bologna boats anyone? Take some bologna, fry it in a pan, add mashed potatoes and and melt some cheddar cheese on it and you have a delicious treat that will melt in your mouth.

Now I know there are some folks out there that hate the big, bad "B" meat. I think this is just a dumbfounded notion. Sure its, cheap primitive and slightly unrefined but thats the beauty of this red ringed delight. It's simplicity can't be beaten. Now you may ask why I chose to write about bologna in a blog. Well, I was shocked at the level of distaste for it in our office here and I was seriously scratching  my head as to what to write about. So go to Wal-Mart tonight, buy yourself a slab from Bar S,  some bread and the topping of your choice and relish in the slice of heaven that is BOLOGNA!!!!
