‘Catch of the Day’ – Brad Paisley ft Demi Lovato – “Without A Fight” [AUDIO]

Today we feature the unlikely pairing of country music's premier guitarist and songwriter and a pop singer who came to prominence on the Disney Channel, releasing her debut album when she was just 16 years old.

Brad Paisley is without question the best guitar player in country music today, and many believe maybe the best country guitar man in history. Starting with his debut album, Who Needs Pictures, and continuing through 10 more studio albums, Paisley has shown a craftsman like approach to playing his trademark blue fender strat; and oh yeah, he can sing a little too. With the exception of his 2008 instrumental album Play, an album that showed exactly what kind of player Paisley is, all of his studio album have reached at least gold certification in sales. His albums have produced 49 top-20 hits, of which 31 have reached the top-10 and 19 have climbed to #1. Only one of his 50 official singles failed to hit the top-20.

Born in Albuquerque, NM, Demetria Devonne Lovato made her professional debut at age 10, appearing on the children's program Barney & Friends. Demi's big break came in the 2008 Disney Channel movie Camp Rock. 2008 saw her sign a recording contract and release her debut album Don't Forget in September of that year. In 2010, citing depression issues, Lovato put her acting career on hold, ending the Disney Channel series Sonny With A Chance after its second season, and withdrawing from a spot on the Jonas Brothers Live! tour. Her third album, 2011's Unbroken, details her battles with depression and its lead single, "Skyscraper" was acclaimed for its message of self-worth and confidence.

Lovato has gone on to star as a judge on The X-Factor, guest star on Glee, and release two more albums. Her five studio albums have all been certified gold or better, with the exception of her most recent, 2015's Confident. She has also released two soundtrack albums, for the Disney movies Camp Rock and Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam have also been certified gold. The albums have placed 9 singles in the top-20 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart; she is still looking for her first #1 single.

Paisley and Lovato recently worked together for the first time when Brad showed up to help Demi on her single "Stone Cold" at the iHeartRadio Music Awards; at the time Lovato dropped a cryptic clue that the two had "something in the works".
