A possessor of distinctive baritone voice which belays youthful looks, Carroll seemed poised for a breakout until problems with his record company after the release of his second album Growing Up Is Getting Old forced a move to QuarterBack/Grass Root Records in 2009. His third album, Numbers, was released exclusively through his website and Cracker Barrel restaurants.

Carroll is currently working on a new project and looking for a new record company. His new project, as yet untitled has spawned a single, which is today's Catch.
