Its Unsigned/Indy Artist Thursday and today the spotlight falls on an artist born in Kentucky, raised in Indiana and as country as you wanna be.

Josh Goodlett is a hard working father of five that found his voice in country music late in life and hasn't looked back since. He first picked up a guitar and taught himself to play at age 27, and quickly found that his love for country music drove him in a way that construction work never could.

Growing up in rural Kentucky in a musical family Josh learned the value of hard work. After playing for a couple years in and around Southern Indiana and Northern Kentucky, Goodlett found himself opening for Kip Moore, Shooter Jennings, Tyler Farr and Will Hoge. An artist who cherishes traditional hometown and family values, Goodlett writes about the things he believes in, with a little love and humor thrown in. He is quickly on his way from being an in-demand regional act to an up-and-coming singer and songwriter in the Country music industry. His hard-hitting, insightful, blue color style has been compared to Eric Church and Brantley Gilbert, and his live shows leave audiences wanting, making a statement with his music that entertains and enlightens at the same time.

The lead single from his upcoming debut album is in our spotlight today. He spent some time in the KLAW studios, so take a few minutes  to get to know our Unsigned/Indy Artist Thursday Catch of the Day, Josh Goodlett and "Why You Gotta Be That Way", new music you haven't heard, but you'll want to heat it again.
