Today's spotlight falls on the latest single by the current top-dog in Country music. A song that has hit the ground running before its official release as a single. He is an artist who began as a successful songwriter, penning hits for friends Travis Tritt and Billy Currington.

Luke Bryan came to Nashville in 2005, alongside his cousin Chad Boyd as a songwriter, immediately gaining notoriety with the title track of Travis Tritt's album My Honky-tonk History. Bryan then co-wrote "Good Directions" with Boyd for Billy Currington and he was off and running. The duo then were signed by Capitol Records Nashville as songwriters, with Bryan also signing a recording contract.

Bryan co-wrote his debut single "All My Friends Say" with producer Jeff Stevens, the song peaking at #5. The song, originally on his self-titled EP, served as the lead for the debut album, I'll Stay Me. The album featured two more singles, "We Rode In Trucks" and "Country Man". The album is noted for not only being Bryan's debut album, but also being his only studio album to NOT feature a #1 single, and the only one not to receive platinum certification.

4 studio album, 8 "Spring Break" compilations and one album collection later, Bryan has placed 20 singles in the top-10, with only "We Rode In Trucks" failing to crack the mark. 16 of the singles have reached #1, including collaborations with Jason Aldean with Eric Church and also with Florida-Georgia Line. Luke's last three album's (Tailgates & Tanlines, Crash My Party and Kill The Lights) have topped the album charts, as have 3 of his Spring Break collections. Add to those numbers, he is currently on an incredible streak of 14 straight singles making it to number one, a streak that started in 2011 with "I Don't Want This Night To End". A streak that includes a record setting 6 #1 singles from his 2013 album Crash My Party.
