Today for Unsigned/Indy Artist Thursday, we feature a duo who met in their hometown of Visalia, CA, and who came together in a bond that not only exceeds their musical partnership, but it also strengthens the work they do together.

Joe and Martina Costa met at a party in their home town in 2007, and came together as a couple long before they formed Terra Bella. At the time they met Joe was playing in a band and Martina was singing karaoke trying to decide if she wanted to pursue a music career. As their personal relationship grew, the pair began performing together acoustically, playing parties and small gatherings and measuring the response to their partnership. As their love grew stronger, so did their music until finally there was no denying their partnership needed to move to the next level, both professionally and personally; the pair began performing with a full band in 2009 and married in 2011.

In August of 2013, Joe and Martina decided they needed to go all in professionally, packing their bags and making the big move to Nashville. After arriving, the pair dove into the local songwriting community head first, leading them to a chance meeting with guitar player Johnny Garcia, known for his work with Garth Brooks and Tricia Yearwood. They have spent most of the time since writing or in recording studios with Garcia, preparing for their debut EP. They have spent that time writing with Garcia and some of Nashville's top songwriters, also working on the unique blend of the duo's voices.

During the time since arriving in Music City, they have also worked at honing their live shows. Though their feet are in Nashville, their hearts are never far from their central California roots. They have toured the west coast, opening for artists like Eric Church,

Lee Brice, Montgomery Gentry and another California country artist, Gary Allan. The hard work has paid off, producing a unique blend which is part good music, and part true love. The duo's debut EP, Road To Forever shows the pair's commitment not only to their music, but to each other.

The lead single from the EP is in our spotlight today. Terra Bella and "You Got That Somethin'" is today's Unsigned/Indy Artist Thursday Catch of the Day, new music you haven't heard, but you're gonna want to hear it again.
