Today's Catch of the Day comes from the best thing to come out of West Virginia and hit the Catch since....well, yesterday's COD Brad Paisley.

But, timing aside, the Davisson Brothers Band is an incredible mix of country, southern rock and bluegrass, creating a truly distinctive sound. The group consists of brothers Chris Davisson (lead guitar, slide guitar), and Donnie Davisson (lead vocals, rhythm guitar), cousin Sammy Davisson (bass guitar, background), and long-time friend Aaron Regester (drums).

Their self titled debut album in 2008 met with little or no fanfare, still managing a climb to #54 on the Country Albums Charts, based almost solely on the band's self promotion. That "fire inside", coupled with their music, the band's immense talent and energy, has garnered the quartet an incredibly loyal and rapidly growing national fan base.

That mix is what drew the attention of producer Keith Stegall, which led to not only the band's first national single, but a forthcoming album which is sure to springboard the Davisson Brothers Band to the main stream. Already picked up by Sirius/XM radio's The Highway channel, the band seems poised for a breakout year in 2015.
