“Leading Ladies” is the story of Jack and Leo, two English Shakespearean actors who find themselves down on their luck. When they learn that an elderly woman in York, Penn., is near death and will leave her fortune to her two long-lost English nephews, Steve and Max, they resolve to pass themselves off as her beloved relatives and get the cash. There’s only one hitch: when they get to York, they discover that Steve and Max are actually Stephanie and Maxine, so they continue on – in drag.
