It is time for Taylor Swift to take a bow and ride off into the sunset, because she has just accomplished the unthinkable. The unheard of. The impossible!

Swift hit number one on the Canadian iTunes chart this week with eight seconds of pure static. No, seriously.

Thanks to a glitch in the Canadian version of iTunes, a track from Swift's new pop album 1989 called "Track 3," was released that looked like it could be a mystery track from her upcoming album. But Swift fans were disappointed to learn that the track was actually just 8 seconds of white noise. Nevertheless, the track soared to the top, beating songs off her new album that actually are real music (well, sort of).

Haters might hate (and most of them will say they prefer silence over Swift's new music), but once a singer scores a chart-topping hit comprised solely of white noise, it's hard to deny she's an unstoppable musical force.
