Francis Scott Key, who was a lawyer and an amateur poet, wrote the lyrics to ‘The Star-Spangled Banner’ in 1814. While nobody is suggesting our national anthem should be replaced, if it was it would probably be done by more of a singer-songwriter type.

But which one?

According to a 60 Minutes/Vanity Fair poll of 986 adults, Bruce Springsteen was the most popular pick to write a new anthem, with 22 percent of the vote. He was followed by Dolly Parton (19 percent) and Stevie Wonder (18 percent.)

Bob Dylan came in fourth with 11 percent, while ‘Star Wars’ composer John Williams (10 percent) Jay-Z (eight percent) and Madonna (five percent) pulled up the rear.
