2017 Taste of Country Music Festival Draws Record 56,000 Fans
The Taste of Country Music Festival offered fans its hottest lineup yet in 2017, and they responded in record numbers. More than 56,000 country fans swarmed the festival in Hunter, N.Y., over the weekend, shattering all previous attendance records.
Jason Aldean and Miranda Lambert headlined the three-day country music and camping festival, which took place from June 9-11 in the naturally scenic setting of Hunter Mountain in upstate New York once again to mark its fifth year. Chris Young, Tyler Farr and Maren Morris were also on the bill, as well as Joe Nichols, Maddie & Tae and more.
Sunday night headliner Sam Hunt was forced to cancel his performance due to illness, but Kip Moore stepped up and made sure the record-breaking crowd that came from all over didn't go away disappointed, delivering a fiery set to close out the biggest and best ToC Fest yet.
"We’re incredibly proud of the festival we’ve grown over these past five years," Dhruv Prasad, one of the festival’s organizers, says. "We couldn’t have done it without a lot of partners: the amazing artists, our hosts at Hunter Mountain, all of our great staff, our sponsors, the State of New York, and the folks in Greene County, and — of course — our fans. This annual festival offers a chance for them to gather together and share their passion for country music. We’re proud to deliver the artists and experience that make that possible each year."
With Eric Church already announced as a headliner, ToC Fest 2018 (June 8-10) looks to already up the ante on what's already the largest country music and camping festival in the Northeast.
Pre-sale tickets are already on sale for ToC Fest 2018 at the festival’s website. That pre-sale ends on Thursday (June 15) at 11:59PM ET. Options include weekend general admission seats, as well as VIP Outlaw and Super Outlaw packages with a number of extra amenities. All packages are available with and without camping options. All 2018 tickets purchased with campground access will let the fans who purchased them participate in a 2018 camping pre-sale in the fall, giving them first access to campsites.
