Blanco Greenhouse Is A Hidden Gem For Plant Lovers
Over the weekend, I stopped by the Lowe's in Lawton to pick up several bags of mulch. I was a nice day, so the Garden Center was packed. People were filling their carts with plants, soil, pots and everything else they desired for their yard. And for someone who enjoys plants, but doesn't want to fight the crowds on a Saturday at Lowe's, I'm making plans to visit the best small town greenhouse in southwest Oklahoma.
Blanco Greenhouse is located on US-70, just east of Grandfield. Every now and then you can find Mr. Blanco, his red truck and trailer parked at one of the surrounding towns in southwest Oklahoma, including my hometown of Frederick. You can also sometimes find Mr. Blanco at the Lawton Farmers Market.
But if Mr. Blanco isn't set up in your town, you can always visit his greenhouse in Grandfield.
Blanco Greenhouses offers high-quality plants in a small town.
I'm slowly entering my plant era. And I will admit, I have bought a few plants over the years, and I have quickly killed them. I always thought this was user error because I didn't inherit my grandmother's green thumb. But after first purchasing a plant from Mr. Blanco at the Lawton Farmers Market in the fall of last year, I'm beginning to think I was starting out with subpar plants.
I'm not sure what type of hanging plant I bought from Mr. Blanco last year, but it was beautiful, and I never managed to kill it. I would forget to water it, and it would wilt a little, but after watering it, I was always able to bring it back to life. (What actually did it in was me leaving it outside during multiple freezes; that was my bad.)
And I've had many people say the same thing. My mom also isn't great with plants, however, she said every plant she has bought from Mr. Blanco has been able to survive her unintentional negligence. And all of the Blanco Greenhouse reviews on Facebook and Google also agree that Mr. Blanco sells high-quality plants, and at good prices.
