Brantley Gilbert’s ‘Halfway to Heaven’ Album Achieves Gold Status
Thanks to recent news about his 2010 album release going gold, Brantley Gilbert is probably on cloud nine this week. ‘Halfway to Heaven’ contains the country star’s No. 1 hit ‘Country Must Be Country Wide,’ as well as his current Top 15 single, ‘You Don’t Know Her Like I Do’ — a song which likely helped the release sell 500,000 copies.
“Man, to have ‘Heaven’ go gold means a lot to me,” Brantley said (courtesy of GACTV). “I never thought my first major release would sell 500,000 copies. Thanks so much to the BG Nation and all y’all who bought a copy.”
‘Halfway to Heaven’ hit the airwaves in March of 2010 and was re-released as a deluxe version on September 13, 2011.The re-release features remixes of all the tracks, as well as several new tracks that were not on the original version of the album. The record performed well on the charts, peaking at No. 2 on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart, and at No. 4 on the Billboard 200 chart.
