Today's catch of the day features yet another talented young singer/songwriter looking to make his mark in Nashville.

Having made his Grand Ol' Opry debut last September, Jackie Lee is looking to break some new ground, combining the traditionalist sound of his roots, with a slick, modern country influenced voice. His debut single "She Does" peaked at #49 in 2014, though it met with favorable reviews. Lee is currently in the studio, working with producer Carson Chamberlain on his debut album, on which Lee wrote six of the songs himself.

Influenced by artists as varied as Faron Young, George Jones, Michael Bolton, Phil Collins and Justin Timberlake, Lee was only six years old when he stepped into a professional recording studio for the first time with producer Chamberlain. Now 16 years later, the pair are back in the studio together again, working on Lee's debut album for Broken Bow Records. Jackie's versatility as a musician might surprise some, but he was an accomplished drummer long before taking up the guitar and piano.

The second single from Lee's debut album is in the spotlight today. "Headphones" is today's Catch of the Day, new music you haven't heard, but you'll want to hear it again.
