‘Catch of the Day’ – The Cadillac Three – “Dang If We Didn’t” [VIDEO]

Our focus today turns to a group of musicians and songwriters who have worked together through several incarnations of the band. As songwriters, they have written hits for artists like Tim McGraw, Keith Urban and Jake Owen.

Jaren Johnston, Kelby Ray and Neil Mason have been playing music together through three different formations of the band now known as The Cadillac Three. As a trio, they were originally known as The Cadillac Black, but had previously worked together, along with Ben Brown, as American Bang. The group failed to gain traction in its first two forms, but in 2013 it released its debut single as The Cadillac Three, "The South", which featured Florida Georgia Line, Dierks Bentley, and Mike Eli of the Eli Young Band. Their debut album, which had been released in 2012 as The Cadillac Black, was reissued as The Cadillac Three after the group signed with Big Machine Records. The single peaked at #32 on the Country Singles chart, and is the group's highest charter to date.

The band released their second album, Bury Me In My Boots in August of 2016. The project has featured four singles, including a re-release of "The South", with none of the singles breaking the top-30. Between the two albums, the group released two EPS, 2014's I'm Southern and 2015's Peace, Love & Dixie, available as digital downloads available and only in the United Kingdom. Early in 2017, TCT headlined the Monster Energy Outbreak tour.

The group has headed back into the studio to work on new music. The first single from their third album, Legacy, has eaked it's way out and we have it in our spotlight today. Brought to you by All American Super Car Wash
