‘Catch of the Day’ – Ward Davis [AUDIO]
Today's Catch of the day is more than just a new song. It pays tribute to all of those who have paid the ultimate price for the freedoms we appreciate (and those that many don't).
Ward Davis was born and raised in Southeast Arkansas, moved to Nashville in 2000, and has since written songs for artists including Willie Nelson, Sammy Kershaw and Trace Adkins. Writing has always been a passion for Ward, but in early 2015, he teamed up with producer Jim “Moose” Brown to record his first full-length solo album.
Besides a burgeoning solo career Davis, along with friends Rick Huckaby and Matt Nolen, make up the alternative country band The Beagles, releasing two albums as a band, Meet The Beagles and Muchos Dos Grande. The group was featured in the 2012 A&E reality series "Crazy Hearts Nashville" and performed backing vocals for Trace Adkins' 2014 single "So What If I Do".
Davis is currently putting the finishing touches on the album 15 Years In A 10 Year Town. The first single from that album is in our spotlight for Memorial Day. A special Catch of the Day, paying tribute to those that gave all, Ward Davis and "Last Monday In May"; new music you haven't heard, but you'll want to hear it again.
