The Thanksgiving holiday is over and you’re looking at half a bird wondering what in the world are you going to do with all these leftovers; turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes… My sister found a quick and easy casserole recipe for all those Thanksgiving leftovers.

As I have said many times. I don't cook. I also don't bake. It's not because I can't cook or bake, I'm actually as good as the next, it's that I don't like the cleaning up part. I don’t know what has gotten into me lately. Ever since I got back from visiting with my Mom I’ve spent more time in the kitchen then I have in the last 10 years of marriage. I guess being in the kitchen with my Mom and watching how much she enjoyed cooking and baking made me realize it’s not that bad.

I have never made Beef Stew. I know, you would think, at my age, I would have made this many times.  I have always just bought Dinty Moore in the can. (I just heard a bunch of cooks gasp.) As I said earlier, I checked The Mace Family Cookbook and could not find a recipe so I went searching and found this one on Allrecipes.com. David “helped me” modify it.

I have shared with you in the past that I have a Mace Family cookbook. Whenever I want to cook something new I must refer to the Mace Family Cookbook first (it’s an unwritten rule of being a Mace wife, or so my husband tells me). Believe it or not, I have never made homemade beef stew. I know, don’t judge me. So off to the cookbook I go looking for a recipe for Beef Stew.

These Peanut Butter Cookies are my husband David's favorite. You can use chunky peanut butter if you would like but he prefers the creamy peanut butter. Mom has made these recipes so many times she doesn't need the list anymore!

My Mom and I have been baking fools since I arrived at her home on Monday. We've made Melt in Your Mouth Pumpkin cookies, Peanut Butter Blossom cookies (my favorite) and now Peanut Butter Balls (Buckeyes). These were easy to make but the dipping was interesting. I kept losing them in the chocolate.
