Country music is alive and well in Lawton/Fort Sill!  Live music is returning to venues of all sizes, including the Great Plains Coliseum!

Keith Anderson will be live in concert, Saturday, June 11th at the Great Plains Coliseum with Josh Gallagher and special guest Mike and the Moonpies!  Doors Open at 6:30.

Oklahoma's own Keith Anderson is both a singer and a songwriter, co-writing hits for Garth Brooks & George Jones,"Beer Run (B Double E Double R-U-N)", and later for Big & Rich, "Lost in This Moment" which hit the top of the charts.  Anderson was signed as an artist in 2004 and later that year released his first hit single, "Picking Wildflowers". That debut album Three Chord Country and American Rock & Roll, produced 4 hit singles for Anderson.

Josh Gallagher came to the forefront of the music scene when he made history in Season 11 of The Voice, marking the first time Coach Adam Levine took a country artist to the show's season finale. Gallagher made it into 4th place, while Sundance Head has ultimately crowned the winner for that season, bringing Coach Blake Shelton his 5th win since the show's premiere. Since The Voice, Gallagher has been busy writing songs that stick with you.  Songs that tie themselves to your soul.

We'll be seeing them live along with Mike and the Moonpies Saturday night, June 11th at the Great Plains Coliseum, 920 South Sheridan Road in Lawton.  Doors open at 6:30.  Visit GPColiseum online to check their calendar for future shows.

Funny, Crazy & Unusual Street Names Found in Oklahoma

One thing's for sure, Oklahoma has a ton of funny, unusual, and downright crazy street names. Across the Sooner State in every town, city, and rural community you'll find hilarious streets and roads with some of the most bizarre names you can think of. When they were named, more than likely years ago, I'm sure no one thought they would be considered crazy or funny at the time. Well, times have changed! Now some of these street names had to be deliberately named by someone with a great sense of humor. At least in my opinion anyway. Scroll through the photo gallery to check out some of Oklahoma's funniest and craziest street names. If you know of a funny or crazy street or road name in Oklahoma take a quick photo of the sign and submit it to critter@townsquaremedia.com and we'll include it in the photo gallery below.
