Using the old sports adage, last week's 'National Pastime' edition of the Country Song Showdown is exactly why we play the showdown out. While, "on paper" it looked like an easy victory for Morning Show favorite Brett Eldredge and his 2016 chart-topper, "Wanna Be That Song", our listeners proved that ladies really do love country boys. In what may the biggest upset since David upset Goliath (or at least in the history of the showdown), Trace Adkins soundly defeated Eldredge with his 2006 video for "Swing". Many people (including myself) felt like we threw Trace to the wolves, but he came pack leading the pack, taking the showdown with 82% of the vote.

This week, we put two of the top young artist on the country chart against each other. The video for Maren Morris' third single from her debut album Hero, "I Could Use A Love Song" takes on another newcomer, takes on the video for "My Girl", the third single from Dylan Scott's self-titled debut album.

Two youngster's battle it out, and only you can decide the winner. Head to our website, watch both videos and then vote for your favorite in this week's Country Song Showdown. Voting will remain open until noon on Monday, May 29th.
