Country Song Showdown

Once again that joyous Holiday season is upon us. A season of giving and spending time with the ones you love. No not Christmas, we still have a couple month til that. Its a season of candy and ghouls and monsters and fright, it's Halloween...

We went intergalactic last week with the showdown, in "honor" of last Monday's historic eclipse.

It was a last minute, come from behind victory for Toby Keith in last week's Glen Campbell Tribute edition of the Country Songdown.

We had some fun with last week's Country Song Showdown as we placed a couple of non-country songs, performed by country stars up against one-another. In the end, fun definitely won out as the brand new video from Joe Nichols, "Baby Got Back" came away with the victory, taking home 75% of votes over the legendary Dolly Parton, and her version of the Led Zepplin rock classic "Stairway

Last week, two of the top young male artists in country music squared off in our Country Song Showdown, as we pitted our old friend Dustin Lynch against John Pardi and let you decide the victor.

Once again, Brett Eldredge showed why he is country music's crowned prince of fun in last week's Country Song Showdown, as the video for his latest single, "Something I'm Good" easily handled the number one hit of Dylan Scott, "My Girl".

Our sincerest apologies this week to Tim McGraw and Faith Hill. We knew going into last week that Lauren Alaina had a VERY active fan base, and that newcomer Kane Brown had an active group of fan's in his own right.

Our last Country Song Showdown was a complete technical disaster and we have had to throw the whole contest out.

Last week's "state of denial" edition of the country song showdown showed there was no denying Justin Moore and his fans as Justin's latest video "Somebody Else Will" gathered 80% of the votes last week and downed the latest video from Old Dominion "No Such Thing As A Broken Heart"...

Last week we decided to give you video quality over song popularity on the Country Song Showdown, and every one seemed intrigued by what may have been the two best videos in the past year or so.

In a response that can only be described as underwhelming, last week we gathered what we thought were the best performances from the recent CMT Video Awards show, but we didn't seem to move you with the performances we presented.
