Country Song Showdown – ‘Total Eclipse of the Showdown’ Edition [VIDEO]
It was a last minute, come from behind victory for Toby Keith in last week's Glen Campbell Tribute edition of the Country Songdown. Trailing John Mayer's version of "Gentle On My Mind" as it closed in on Monday's deadline, a score of Toby Keith fan's reared up to cast their votes for Toby's tribute "Wichita Lineman" to edge Mayer by just a couple of votes. Chris Stapleton and "Rhinestone Cowboy" finished a distant third.
This week we drive to post a new showdown before the sun goes dark, so why not a "Total Eclipse of the Showdown" edition? How about we put Garth Brooks and his classic "Ain't Going Down 'Til The Sun Comes Up" to represent the sun, and to represent the moon? How about country music's most successful duo Brooks & Dunn with their classic "Neon Moon"...
Watch both videos and decide which is the strongest pull of the country music galaxy. You have until Monday August 28th at noon, to vote as many times as you'd like, and tell us your favorite, in the 'Total Eclipse of the Showdown' edition, this week's Country Song Showdown, brought to you by Oklahoma's Best Country, KLAW101.
