Eric Paslay Plays A ‘Fishy’ Name Game [VIDEO]

There are two schools of thought when it comes to the law of attraction: opposites attract and like attracts like. When it comes to possible songwriting partners, Eric Paslay apparently is from the second school of thought.

Paslay, who is an avid fisherman, does have a person in mind to collaborate with on future song writing and possible touring endeavors: Brad Paisley. “I hear he tows a fishing boat behind the tour bus,” Pasley says, smiling. Plus, both stars have fishing songs in their repertoire—Eric’s “If the Fish Don’t Bite” and Brad’s “I’m Gonna Miss Her (The Fishin’ Song).”

So ws keeping this dynamic duo apart? Eric jokes that the possible reason they haven’t worked together is because their last names are too confusing. “I get called Eric Paisley all the time,” he says. “It doesn’t bother me, but I bet he doesn’t get called Brad Paslay.” Ever the opportunist, Paslay also has an idea for a third on the tour: Carrie Underwood. He smiles and jokes, “We could call it the ‘I Don’t Even Know My Last Name Tour.’”
