Florida Georgia Line kept it "Simple" for their latest single, and that approach paid off. "Simple" tops both the Billboard and Country Aircheck/Mediabase Country Airplay charts this week.

Tyler Hubbard and Brian Kelley co-wrote "Simple" with Michael Hardy and Mark Holman. Working once again with longtime producer Joey Moi, the duo reinvented themselves by stripping their sound down to a more basic approach, featuring acoustic guitars, banjos and a whistling melody. The lyrics are all about enjoying the most fundamental things in life.

"It's like one, two, three, just as easy as can be / Just the way you look at me, you make me smile / Ain't no need to complicate it / We both know that's overrated / We've been there, it's safe to say it ain't our style / It's just that simple / S-I-M-P-L-E simple as can be / Simple / S-I-M-P-L-E simple as can be," they sing in the infectious chorus.

“We love to write tunes that make us feel good,” Kelley says in a press release. “It’s a complicated world out there and this just reminds us to keep making time to enjoy the simple things.”

“Both BK and I are blessed to each have wives that make every day feel like paradise, as the lyrics say, so we’re living and loving its message daily," Hubbard adds. "Thank you to our fans and country radio for embracing our next chapter.”

Florida Georgia Line have revealed that they will release their fourth studio album in the early part of 2019, but have provided few details for the project. In addition to "Simple," they have teased fans with a new track titled "Colorado," a rowdy country-rock song, and they've also let fans hear a slow, sexy ballad, "Talk You Out of It."
