Lindale Officially Certified a ‘Texas Music Friendly Community’
On Thursday (Oct. 18) The Texas Music Office will officially designate Lindale a "Texas Music Friendly Community." Making it just the fifth Texas city bestowed the honor.
“When we started The Cannery Lindale, we did so with the intention of creating a place where Texas musicians would have a place to showcase their talents,” says developer, Chad Franke.
The Cannery Lindale organizers had opportunities such as this in mind from the start, dubbing it “The NEW Entertainment Capital of East Texas” right from the beginning.
Participation in the Texas Music Office's new "Music Friendly Community" provides Texas communities with a network for fostering music industry development and sends a clear message to industry professionals that certified communities are serious about attracting and developing music industry growth.
The Texas Music Office, within the Governor's Office, will officially designate Lindale as a “Texas Music Friendly Community" at a celebration at Love & War in Texas at The Cannery Lindale, October 18, 2018, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM. There will be a presentation followed by live music featuring Lindale’s own Chris Colston, Riley Redding and Billie Jo.
