Holiday in the Park Details

There are so many great opportunities to celebrate the Holidays in Lawton/Fort Sill, including Holiday in the Park which kicks off with the Annual Christmas Parade next week on November 19.  I've been so fortunate to have been asked to emcee this amazing event for the last few years, and will once again be behind the microphone again with my friend Monte Brown (formerly of KSWO TV7, and now with Liberty National Bank).

One thing that I've never been able to get into my holiday schedule is the Candlelight Stroll in the Old Post Quadrangle at Fort Sill.  This year I'm going to make it happen.

“The Candlelight Stroll is a great way to usher in the holiday season,” said Don Herrick, Fires Center of Excellence and Fort Sill Public Affairs director. “This is the best-preserved frontier-era Army post in the United States and the Old Post Quadrangle is a spectacular place to get some frontier holiday history.”

The Fort Sill National Historic Landmark and Museum is proud to continue the annual Candlelight Stroll around Fort Sill’s Old Post Quadrangle from 5:30 p.m. to 7:45 p.m. on Dec. 11.

New Oklahoma Laws That Took Effect November 1st

Another year, another bunch of new laws to learn. Most of them have little to no impact on the average citizen, the rest are so subtle in bureaucratic wording, they aren't important enough to even mention. Here are the notable things to take away and store in your brain-box.
