2025 Oklahoma Tornado Season Outlook is Grim
When it comes to the weather in Oklahoma, you can ask anyone who has lived here a while, there's no telling what will actually happen. It's all too unpredictable.
We've seen the largest tornado in history, the fastest recorded wind speed in history, unprecedented destruction, and weather so severe that the National Weather Service Storm Prediction Center is headquartered in Norman.
As the forecasts come out, the 2025 Oklahoma tornado season outlook is one of active weather patterns, and more so as you move East across the country.

With the severe weather season officially off and running for the year in Oklahoma, here are the best estimates of what to expect now through June.
I know what you're likely thinking... Storm chasers are always going to expect storms, and while there may be truth to that, you sort of have to at least put a little trust into the experts at the forefront of meteorology. As wild as Reed Timmer is, he is one of the foremost experts in the field.
The National Weather Service is quiet as usual. They traditionally stay pretty quiet putting their emphasis on short-term predictions, which is why they remain the most accurate meteorological outfit in the world.
Farmers Almanac is hopping on the severe weather predictions for Spring.
Although the "other" Farmers Almanac is suggesting a different seasonal experience for us in Oklahoma. More emphasis on hot temps and dry conditions.
A tale of two completely different forecasts, but since both almanacs typically average 50/50 for accuracy, spring could very well be right in the middle. Warm and severe at the same time.
Time will tell, but when Reed Timmer starts reminiscing about the similarities that 2025 is showing compared to the 2011 storm season, it does not look ideal.
