So here's a weird story that I'm not sure most will agree with. In a nationwide poll conducted in 2021 through an app called Clover, females from Oklahoma were named the second least attractive women in the nation... but it gets worse.

In the 2022 update, when the poll was done again, the Sooner State as a whole scored the same, but Oklahoma City was specifically named as having the least attractive population of women in the nation.

That sounds like a pretty smarmy thing to say, but that's not the whole story.

The attractiveness ratings were based on the direct results of members rating other members on average. While the women were figuratively rolled over the coals, the men of Oklahoma remained a top-six contender in the America's Most Attractive Men survey.

It's weird how that works out, right?

If you dive deeper into the study, I don't think it's an accurate representation of attractiveness in Oklahoma or even the nation.

If you look at the top "Most Attractive" cities in terms of attractive females, the view gets pretty clear. New York City, Los Angeles, Boston, Miami - AKA - places where childless people flock to make a living based on their good looks and big educations, ultimately aiming to remain overall childless.

The metrics are skewed.

Those attractive cities aren't filled with good-looking people native to those cities... Take LA for instance... Most of Hollywood's most beautiful people are from anywhere else. Brad Pitt, Olivia Munn, and even more famed actors are all from Oklahoma.

The point is, every city in every state is filled with good-looking people. America is just an attractive country...

Ironically, the exact same study lists Oklahoma as having the sixth-best-looking men in America also lists handsome Okies as the second-best-looking men in America... and it's not the Affliction shirts and bedazzled skinny jeans earning the lustful gaze... it's the average good-looking jeans and plain tees type of dudes that women tend to swipe right on.

I wouldn't look too deep into the "science" here. There are attractive people everywhere, and to be honest, the most attractive women aren't the prettiest people in the world. They're the kindest, most humble, friendly, and wholesome types of personalities. Guys might want to take California girls home, but they'd rather take an Oklahoma girl home to meet mom, a clear winner by any measure.

Looking for love in all the wrong places...

All the same, if you were wanting to meet someone, OKC might be a place you'd want to skip. Tulsa too. The dating scenes there are ranked mid-to-low in terms of the grand dating experience. Keep it simple, be yourself, and the moment you quit looking, you'll find.
