Jason Aldean celebrated the release of his new single, "Lights Come On," with a hard-edged performance of the tune at the 2016 ACM Awards.

Sporting a casual, slate-blue shirt, gray pants and a wallet chain, Aldean stayed close to the first few rows as he sang the rock-oriented tune. This left his electrified band, which featured guitarists slashing out the song's meaty chords, to take up most of the stage.

Appropriately, the performance also featured gigantic production: Dizzying lights and spotlights added pizzazz, as did archival, black-and-white live footage of Aldean concerts, which was projected on large screens behind him.

"Lights Come On" is slated for Aldean's forthcoming seventh studio album, his first since 2014's Old Boots, New Dirt.
