John Lee Ham was born in Texas and spent some time serving in the Navy aboard USS Chicago. He worked with Mickey Gilley, both on the road, and in Gilley's nightclub in Pasadena, Tx.But when the movie Urban Cowboy came out in 1980, John Lee Ham, better known as Johnny Lee, found commercial success on his own with songs like 'Looking for Love', and 'One in a Million'. Today's KLAW Classic was Johnny Lee's 5th and final #1 song, "Could Have Heard a Heartbreak', from 28 years ago this weekend.
