John Lee Ham was born in Texas and spent some time serving in the Navy aboard USS Chicago.  He worked with Mickey Gilley, both on the road, and in Gilley's nightclub in Pasadena, Tx.

'Looking For Love' had a hard time finding an artist to sing it!  The song was pitched around Nashville, but no one wanted to record it.
