Kane Brown was in New York on Monday (Jan. 14) to perform his heartfelt new single "Good as You" on Good Morning America. The love ballad showcases Brown's sensitive side as he sings of hoping to one day be as good as his girl — in this case his wife, Katelyn Jae.

"It may take a hundred lifetimes to do / But baby I just want to be good as you," he croons with a big smile on his face, gentle fiddle and guitar accompanying him.

The New York studio audience mouthed along the lyrics word for word and Brown embraced the crowd's enthusiasm, asking them to clap with him throughout the song.

"Good as You" follows Brown's latest No. 1 hit, "Lose It." Both tracks are featured on his sophomore album, Experiment, released last year. The music video for "Good as You" features clips from Brown's real-life October 2018 wedding to Katelyn Jae.

The singer will be spending much of 2019 on the road as part of his arena headlining tour, the Live Forever Tour, which kicked off last week in Duluth, Georgia. The trek runs through March with openers RaeLynn, Granger Smith, Danielle Bradbery, and Jimmie Allen on select dates. Once his headlining tour wraps, Brown will join Jason Aldean for the singer's 2019 Ride All Night Tour with Carly Pearce.

"When I'm on tour, I want to be out there with guys I like hanging out with," Aldean says of why he picked Brown to join his tour. "And it doesn’t hurt that Kane is on fire right now. He’s about as hot as it gets. Just excited to have him back out, excited to see his show and have a buddy out there for a year."
