Keith Urban will share his music industry knowledge at SXSW next year. The "Blue Ain't Your Color" singer has recently been booked as a featured speaker for the 2018 conference in Austin, Texas next March.

SXSW featured speakers are generally storytellers, creative visionaries and change-makers in the industry — Stevie Nicks, Elvis Costello, Ray Davies, Blondie and Mick Fleetwood have spoken in years past.

“Some of the world’s most imaginative thinkers are part of today’s announcement,” says Hugh Forrest, SXSW Chief Programming Officer. "These innovative speakers cover the depth and breadth of SXSW content, enhancing our standing as the foremost destination for creative people to gain the practical tools and outside-of-the-box inspiration to achieve their goals."

Highest-Paid Country Singers of 2017

The 2018 SXSW Conference and Festival runs from March 9-18. Industry professionals and music fans can register to attend beginning Oct. 20. Additional keynote and featured speakers will be announced in November.

Fellow country superstar Garth Brooks gave a keynote speech at SXSW in 2017 in conjunction with Amazon, kicking off his visit to Texas with a press conference, where he debuted a new single and announced that he’d close out SXSW 2017 with a free show at the event’s Auditorium Shores venue. His performance at SXSW’s outdoor riverfront stage marked his first official Austin concert in 20-plus years.

Urban has not revealed whether he'll perform while in Austin next year.
