
Join The Fun At Lawton’s Grand Opening Of The Aquatics Center
The wait is over! The City of Lawton has finally announced the grand opening if its new Aquatics Center. Lawton residents can finally enjoy water slides, a lazy river and more at the grand opening on Saturday, August 16.
The City of Lawton's Aquatics Center will officially open at 9 a.m. Saturday, August 16. The Aquatics Center is located in Elmer Thomas Park. The Aquatics Center's grand opening will kickoff with a ribbon cutting ceremony with remarks from city officials and other special guests. Those who attend the ribbon cutting will be the first to explore and enjoy Lawton's new Aquatics Center!
The Aquatics Center will feature a lazy river, water slides, diving boards, a play area for young children and much more. Admission for the Aquatics Center is $6 for adults, $5 for seniors and youth ages 4-17 and $2 for children 3 and younger.

The City of Lawton's Aquatics Center will be open daily.
After the City of Lawton's Aquatics Center officially opens on Saturday, August 16, the center will be open daily. According to a press release from the City of Lawton, the Aquatics Center will be open through August and "will remain open as long as possible, weather permitting."

- 4-7 p.m. Monday-Friday
- Noon to 8 p.m. Saturday
- Noon to 5 p.m. Sunday
According to the City of Lawton, these are modified hours for the Aquatics Center and are to ensure the safety of visitors to allow the center to be properly staffed by lifeguards.
While open, the Aquatics Center will also have the concession stand open with water, Gatorade and packaged snacks for purchase.
