Lawton Ballet Theatre To Perform Its 13th Annual Nutcracker Ballet
If a community is lucky, residents will have memories of seeing the local ballet studio's annual performance of "The Nutcracker." And Lawton is one of those lucky communities! This year, Lawton Ballet Theatre will perform its 13th annual production of Tchaikovsky's "The Nutcracker."
Many Lawton residents, including myself, can remember attending or participating in "The Nutcracker" every holiday season when it was produced by the Storey and Barton School of Dance.
Lawton Ballet Theatre brought 'The Nutcracker' back to Lawton.
After Storey and Barton closed, there were several years that Lawton went without its traditional production of "The Nutcracker." That was until Lawton Ballet Theatre opened and took up the tradition, which has now been going on for 13 years!
If seeing "The Nutcracker" is part of your family's holiday traditions, or if you're thinking of starting a new one, then you can see the ballet from December 19-21 at the Lawton High School Auditorium. "The Nutcracker" will be performed by students at Lawton Ballet Theatre.

Lawton Ballet Theatre will also host a Nutcracker Tea Party.
One of its own traditions that Lawton Ballet Theatre has brought to Lawton is its Nutcracker Tea Party! This is a magical event for the young ones as they get to immerse themselves in the world of "The Nutcracker" during an afternoon tea.
Attendees of the Nutcracker Tea Party will get a full afternoon tea service, a mini ballet lesson, a reading of "The Nutcracker," holiday crafts, meet and greet with the cast, special tea etiquette lesson and more!
Tickets are now on sale for the ballet and tea event.
Lawton Ballet Theatre now has tickets on sale for "The Nutcracker" ballet and the Nutcracker Tea Party. Tickets for both events are available on Lawton Ballet Theatre's official website.
