Amethyst & Ink Books Brings New Life To Lawton’s Book Scene

Over the years, Lawton has had a few local bookstores, plus larger chains, like Hastings. Over the last several years, Lawton has only hod two local bookshops and places like Target and Walmart. But now a new bookshop has opened in Lawton, and is offering a haven for booklovers and shoppers alike.

Amethyst & Ink Books recently announced that the bookstore has officially opened at 1814 W Gore Blvd, in the Gore Center on West Gore Blvd. Amethyst & Ink Books offers a wide selection of books and book-related gifts.

According to a recent Facebook post, Amethyst & Ink Books indicated that the store is just getting started but more books and merchandise are being delivered every day.

What are the hours for Amethyst & Ink Books?

Now that Amethyst & Books Ink is officially open, readers in Lawton can explore a brand new, local bookshop! Amethyst & Ink Books is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday and noon to 6 p.m. Sunday.

Amethyst & Ink Books will also host a Grand Opening on Friday, September 6. The grand opening will feature exclusive photo ops with Through Movement Photography, goody bags, raffles, story time, mystery books and more.

If you're not able to make it into the new bookstore just yet, Amethyst and Ink Books also has an online shop up for people to purchase books online from Lawton's new local book store. The online shop features several genres of books, including thriller, mystery, romance, history and more.
