One of the best parts about fall in Lawton are the multiple Oktoberfest events. Throughout the months of September and October, Lawton residents can enjoy three different Oktoberfest celebrations.

The Comanche County Fairgrounds has hosted its annual Oktoberfest for over 50 years. The Fort Sill MWR also hosts an annual Oktoberfest for military personnel and civilians. And for its second year, SOB Brewing will host an Oktoberfest weekend.

Comanche County Fairgrounds Oktoberfest

This year will be the 53rd year for the Comanche County Fairgrounds' annual Oktoberfest. The festival will take place Friday, Oct. 9, and Friday, Oct. 10, in the Great Plains Coliseum.

Every year the festival features live German music, imported beer and German dishes, like schnitzel and bratwurst. The Comanche County Fairgrounds also hosts a best dressed costume contest during Oktoberfest.

More details about this year's Oktoberfest at the Comanche County Fairgrounds will be posted to the fairgrounds' Facebook page.
