Lawton Philharmonic Orchestra Announces 2026-2027 Season

The Lawton Philharmonic will be back at home in Lawton's historic McMahon Memorial Auditorium for its 2026-2027 season. The local professional orchestra recently announced its season, "Pops, Tango & Passion."

Since early 2025, the orchestra's concerts have taken place at various auditoriums across Lawton due to McMahon Memorial Auditorium's construction. The historic auditorium is set to officially reopen this August, which means the orchestra's first concert of its 2026-2027 season will be one of the first events at the newly remodeled auditorium.

The Lawton Philharmonic Orchestra's first concert of the season will take place on Saturday, August 15.

The Lawton Philharmonic Orchestra will begin its 2026-2027 season at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, August 15 with Classic Pops III at the McMahon Memorial Auditorium. The auditorium will officially open the week prior on Saturday, August 8 for Lawton's 125th Birthday Celebration. The orchestra's first concert of the season is set to be one of the first events at the auditorium after its extensive construction.

Classic Pops III will feature a blend of French masterpieces with Broadway and Hollywood favorites. The performance will open with French classics, like selections from Bizet's Carmen, and then will turn to memorable music from the stage and silver screen, like works from Richard Rodgers John Williams.

The Lawton Philharmonic Orchestra's season will continue by exploring 'The Four Seasons' and 'Romeo and Juliet.'

The orchestra's 2026-2027 season will continue in 2027 with two more concerts, both at the McMahon Memorial Auditorium.
