Lee West Park now features an ADA-compliant playground.

If you frequented Lee West Park before the construction, it was in big need of some TLC. The equipment was old and worn, and it definitely wasn't accessible for all children.

But now, Lee West Park features an upgraded playground, complete with ADA-compliant features. And instead of little pebbles, the playground is set atop a cushioned flooring system.

The Thunder court at Lee West Park was also repainted.

In 2019, Lawton officially got a Thunder court at Lee West Park. The Thunder court at Lee West Park was part of the Thunder Cares Foundation's initiative to rehabilitate basketball courts across the state.

Over the years, the Thunder court at Lee West Park experienced some wear and tear due to use and weather. So part of the revamp of Lee West Park included repainting the Thunder court. Now basketball players in the neighborhood have a fresh court to play on!
