Luke Bryan's younger son, Tate, turned 9 years old on Sunday (Aug. 11), and the singer documented the big day with an Instagram post showing off just how fast his boy is growing.

In the photo, Tate poses with a backdrop of long-stalk sunflowers, which he himself stands a few inches above. It's clear not only that he's getting to be pretty tall, but that he also is looking like his famous dad more and more as he gets bigger. Several fans commented on the family resemblance, while taking time to wish him a happy birthday.

Tate's mom, Caroline, posted a more humorous ode to her boy, showing off some silly shots of him in a crown and crazy sunglasses...as well as a priceless video of Dad, dancing shirtless on a sleeping Tate's bed and shouting "Go Tater Tot, it's your birthday!" (Trust us, it must be seen to be believed...swipe right!)

Tate is little brother to Bo, who turned 11 in March and was subjected to the same treatment on his birthday. Apparently, the Bryans have a longstanding birthday tradition of ambushing their sons first thing in the morning with loud music and embarrassing dancing. Bo got off a little easier than Tate this year, as nobody actually jumped on his bed!

Bryan, when not torturing his children, is wrapping up the last weeks of summer staying busy on his Sunset Repeat Tour alongside openers Cole Swindell and Jon Langston, taking them to amphitheaters around the country until Oct. 12 where it concludes in Raleigh, N.C. In the midst of the trek, Bryan will launch his 11th annual Farm Tour, starting in Wisconsin at Statz Bros. Farm on Sept. 26 and visiting a handful of other farms on the six-date journey.
