Luke Bryan Expands ‘What Makes You Country’ Tour With New Dates
Luke Bryan's What Makes You Country Tour just keeps growing. The superstar singer has announced a set of new dates for the trek, with a new leg including shows from April through September.
He's added 17 new shows to the 2018 tour, making stops in cities like Charlotte, N.C., Dallas, Salt Lake City and Albuquerque, N.M. Jon Pardi's run as an opening act will begin in June and continue throughout the year, while Morgan Wallen will join from June through August. Newcomer Carly Pearce performs on select dates in September.
The tour is in support of Bryan's latest album, What Makes You Country, which topped both the Billboard Top Country Albums and Billboard 200 charts after its 2017 release. "So much thought goes into creating new music and I really try to write and find songs that I feel are staying true to me while staying fresh and fun. I try and imagine people singing along in their cars or with me at my shows," he says. "To have What Makes You Country go No. 1 is so exciting and rewarding for me, my team and my fans. It drives me to keep working harder and growing! Thank you so much for these opportunities!"
The dates follows a previously-announced first leg which kicks off in February, running through March. Kip Moore and the Cadillac Three are featured opening acts on the first eight shows. More tour news is expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
Tickets for select cities on the newly-announced dates are available Jan. 26, with the rest of the cities up for sale in the following weeks. Just after the tour kicks off, Bryan will make his debut as a judge on the American Idol reboot when it premieres on ABC on March 11. He sits alongside Lionel Richie and Katy Perry on the judging panel.
