Lawton Teens Wrap Up Performing Arts Camp With A Free Production Of ‘Oklahoma!’
Lawton's immersive summer performing arts camp, Next Generation Performing Arts Camp, will conclude this year's session with a performance of "Oklahoma!" The performance will take place at 7 p.m. Saturday, July 25, at the Cameron University Theatre.
Each year, the Next Generation Performing Arts Camp hosts students aged 13 to 18 at Cameron University for an intense and immersive week of learning about the performing arts and producing an entire musical. This year, the camp hosted theatre and strings tracks, and the musical the students have been working on is "Oklahoma!"
The community is invited to see Next Generation Performing Arts Camp's production of 'Oklahoma!' for free.
The culminating performance of "Oklahoma!" for this year's Next Generation Performing Arts Camp is free and open to the public. The performance is only offered for one night, and showcases the skills students learned during the camp, including acting, singing, orchestral performances, set design, costuming and more.
